Definition of AI-Generated Content
For this policy, AI-generated content includes any material that is wholly or partially created, enhanced, or altered using:
- Large Language Models (LLMs), such as ChatGPT, Claude, Google Gemini, etc.
- AI-powered writing or paraphrasing tools
- AI-based illustration or image-generation software
- AI-simulated audio/voice or deepfake video tools
Acceptable Use of AI on HowTests
We allow AI tools as support mechanisms , provided the following guidelines are followed:
1. Mandatory Human Oversight
- All AI-generated drafts must be reviewed, edited, and verified by a human before submission.
- AI must assist, not replace, the contributor's responsibility and originality.
2. Full Transparency
Contributors must explicitly disclose the use of AI within the content. For this, the website includes a disclaimer and a reviewed section at the end of the article.
- Example: This content was created with the assistance of an AI tool and submitted by a user. Before publication, it was reviewed, refined, and approved by the HowTests editorial team to ensure accuracy, clarity, and alignment with our academic and content integrity standards.
Accuracy, Quality & Alignment
AI-generated outputs must be:
- Fact-checked against reliable sources
- Aligned with HowTests' academic tone and writing rules
- Free of hallucinated, biased, or misleading claims
Prohibited AI Use on HowTests
The following uses of AI are strictly forbidden:
1. Plagiarism & Copyright Violation
- Using AI to mimic, paraphrase, or clone copyrighted work.
- Failing to cite source material used in AI prompts.
2. Misinformation & Unverifiable Claims
- Using AI to generate fake statistics, unverifiable quotes, or biased narratives.
- No use of AI for political, religious, or exam-related disinformation.
3. Fake Identities & Impersonation
- Using AI to fabricate author bios, testimonials, or falsely represent credentials.
- Using AI avatars to impersonate real educators or HowTests contributors.
4. Spam & Low-Value Bulk Submissions
- Generating low-effort articles for SEO manipulation.
- Submitting repetitive, AI-spun drafts without meaningful input.
Detection, Review, and Enforcement

No, you do not need to disclose the use of AI-powered tools that assist with grammar correction, spell-checking, outlining, or fact verification. However, if you use AI to generate text, images, or other content, you must disclose this information.
2. What should I do if I suspect That content on the platform is generated by AI?
If you encounter AI-generated content that appears questionable or does not comply with our AI Content Policy:
- If the content appears in your feed or recommendations, you can use the "Show Less" option in the three-dot menu to remove it and adjust your content preferences.
- If you find AI-generated content behind a restricted section or paywall, please report it to us by submitting a request via contact@howtests.com with a link to the content.
You do not need to report AI-assisted content unless it violates our policies or terms of uses.
3. How should I disclose AI-generated content?
- If you have used AI-generated text in your article, disclose it within the first two paragraphs. A simple statement like the following is sufficient:
"This article was created with the assistance of an AI writing tool."
- For AI-generated images, include a clear disclosure in the image caption:
"This image was created using an AI image-generation tool."
